Surroundings

To the wide, extensive and beautiful sandy beach in Roses are about 1.500 m, to reach by car in about 15 minutes, as well as the restaurants and bars in the center and the supermarkets.

Along the beach road, you can walk from Roses to Santa Margerita or Almadrava, without street noise and annoying traffic.

Doctors and pharmacies can be reached by car in about 10 minutes.

The Costa Brava is the coast that causes the most admiration and surprise. It has tourist centers, many tourist attractions and virgin landscapes, such as the Cap de Creus and Aiguamolls de l’Empordá Natural Park and, next to Empuriabrava, other places of interest: Roses, Canyelles Petit, Cadaques, Port de la Selva, Llança, L`Escala, L`Estartit, Sant Martí – Ruines d`Empuries, Medes Islands, Peralada, the monastery Montserrat, the Dalí Museum and the house and studio of Dalí in Portlligat. Along the way you will see the landscapes and work of the ingenious painter, who called himself divine.

Activities

There are many opportunities for active athletes to walk, jogging, inline skate or play beach volleyball. There are a variety ways to make an active or relaxed holiday, for example:

Kitesurfing, windsurfing, jet skiing, diving, parachuting, tennis, golf, mini golf, boat rental, Kardbahn and much more. For hikers, there are many trails that run through the area of  Ampurdan.

Every day a bus leaves from the bus station to Cadaqués, Figueres, Girona or Barcelona. The bus company “Viñola” offers interesting day trips to Barcelona.

Also for ski enthusiasts, the beautiful ski resorts in Andorra, La Molina and Valter 2000 offer enough kilometers of pistes to spend a day or several beautiful days in the snow.

Further more, numerous city trips are offered to Barcelona,Lloret de Mar, Girona or Montserrat Monastery etc.

Every Sunday takes place  in Roses a popular and colourful maket, near the market hall.
